See the requirements of the dynamometer in section IV.1.1.).
Section IV: Procedure
- The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason:
- absence of competition for technical reasons
The research at the department of Public Health — Sport Science aims at describing effects of training interventions on muscular performance in healthy persons and persons with different diseases.
The measurements of muscle performance are required to be accurate and valid and the equipment should be versatile enough to measure torque over a broad range of muscles/joints in persons with muscular capacity spanning from very weak to elite level strength (up to 600 Nm). The apparatus should be able to measure torque and velocity during concentric, isometric and eccentric actions. The data obtained are analyzed in custom made software and direct analogue sampling of the measured parameters is required. The obtained data will be used in conjunction with data previously obtained on our Humac Norm system, and data must therefore be entirely comparable with data obtained from this system. Likewise, programmed movements and measurements should be transferable from previously programmed protocols made in the Humac system to accommodate comparison between the new and existing system.
We have searched the research literature and internet for devices with the abovementioned properties and conferred with colleagues nationally and internationally in research labs using comparable methods.
In conclusion we have found that there is currently one product on the market, which can entirely satisfy the abovementioned requirements and this is the Humac, Norm from CMSI, USA, which is sold in Denmark only via BC Medical Group.
