Affaldsselskabet Vendsyssel Vest I/S is planning for a major overhaul of the 5 MW ABB V25A steam turbine to be conducted in late summer 2022 as the machine is reaching almost 200.000 EOH. In order to ensure reliable, safe and efficient operation of the unit a major overhaul of the steam turbine is needed.

The Scope of Works includes the following activities:

› Planning, arranging, and performing the major overhaul of turbine, main and auxiliary oil pumps, turning gear, turbine valves (ESV and control valves)

› Inspection and NDT of turbine parts

› Install steel insert rings in row 10 and 11 diaphragms

› Delivery of spare parts, options and repairs after fact finding and by prior agreement with AVV

Included in this call for tender is also a number of optional deliveries. For a description of the options, please see section 4 in the Technical Specification as well as section 9.1.1 in Instruction to Tenderers. Purchase or realization of the options are predominantly dependent on the actual findings, once the turbine has been opened up and inspected.

The selection will be based on the technical and professional ability of the applicant documented as stated in Instruction to Tenderers section 2.3.

The selection will be based on Affaldsselskabet Vendsyssel Vest I/S's assessment of which of the applicants who have:

› The most relevant, understood by AVV as references that have the better similarity to scope and turbine, and recent references. The higher number of relevant references the better.

— new sealing strips for the rotor

— new sealing strips for stationary parts (diaphragms)

— new blades and replacement

— high-speed balancing of turbine rotor

— turbine bearings

— split line stud bolts for turbine outer casing

— control valve - seats and spindle

— shaft sealing rings

— steel inserts for diaphragm

— sealing segments for diaphragms

— sealing segments for balance piston

— recommended spare parts or services

The applicant must inform the following regarding economic and financial standing (ESPD part IVB):

Solvency ratio, which is defined as Equity/(Total Assets) x 100 %, in the Last Fiscal Year (LFY).

Minimum requirements regarding the economic and financial standing of the applicant:

A solvency ratio of minimum 10 % in the Last Fiscal Year (LFY)

List and brief description of selection criteria:

The applicant must inform the following regarding technical and professional ability (ESPD part IVC):

1. References:

List of relevant references describing the applicant's experience with major overhaul works for a V25A steam turbines or similar 5-15 MW size tur-bines within the last 5 years.

The references must include the project managing role (overall responsibility during planning and project execution) and supply of all needed manpower and spare parts.

The description of the references must include:

› Description of the works including type of steam turbine and the applicant's role in the overhaul

› Start and end date of the work

› Number of hours of total turbine shutdown, i.e. from steam shutdown to turbine ready for 100 % load

› Name of the client/costumer

2. Workshop facilities

The applicant must describe the access to workshop facilities and field service manpower (own or subcontractor's).

3. Engineering competences and capacities

The applicant must describe the access to a qualified engineering department in case of fact findings, recommended modifications or reverse engineering of spare parts should require such services.

Minimum level(s) of standards possibly required:

1. Minimum two references on major overhaul works for a ABB V25A steam turbine or similar 5-15 MW size turbines within the last 5 years calculated from the date of application for prequalification. The reference period has been chosen due to considerations regarding sufficient competition.

The two references must include the project managing role (overall responsibility during planning and project execution) and supply of all needed manpower and spare parts.

2. It is a minimum requirement for the applicant to have access to workshop, which must include machine shop facilities.

The outage is planned to start in week 36 2022 (September 5, 2022); however, AVV reserves the right to postponement or change of the overhaul start time. The outage period is 4 weeks, and the unit is expected to be on grid and in commercial operation by September 30, 2022.

compared to the needs and requirements of Affaldsselskabet Vendsyssel Vest I/S. Furthermore, the purpose is to increase the

understanding at both parties regarding the character, challenges and conditions of the work.
