II.1.4) Short description:

An important element of what we do in our laboratory is to test construction elements by applying force on the elements to investigate the responses in the elements to the force (cracks, deformation etc.). These investigations are both visual and digital. The materials tested are primarily concrete but also other materials like wood are investigated. Sensors integrated in the existing actuators and external applied sensors together with digital photo documentation are used measure the responses. All the measurements are processed in the existing software.

At present time, we have three actuators with corresponding software and supplement. In addition to these three actuators, we want two new actuators in order to make more detailed and more controlled experiments.

II.1.6) Information about lots
This contract is divided into lots: no
II.1.7) Total value of the procurement (excluding VAT)
Value excluding VAT: 37 286.00 EUR

These investigations are both visual and digital. The materials tested are primarily concrete but also other materials like wood are investigated. All the measurements are processed in the existing software.

At present time, we have three actuators with corresponding software and supplement. In addition to these three actuators, we want two new actuators in order to make more detailed and more controlled experiments.

What we need are two new actuators fully compatible with our existing system. We need two linear hydraulic servo controlled actuators. The actuators need to deliver a minimum force of 350 KN with a maximum piston stroke of +- 125 mm. The actuators have to be double acting, single ended. A swivel base also have to be included. Cables (hydraulic) and wiring have to be a part of the delivery, which also need to be compatible with the existing system (existing software is TestSuite Elite and hardware). The servo valve have to be controlled by a closed loop control system with external signal (e.g. straingauge). Installation and training of operators need to be included as long with a service agreement regarding yearly maintenance and calibration of the actuators (all five) including load cell (pressductor) and movement transducer.

An online market investigation have be performed. Other potential suppliers like Instron where found to not to be suitable due to the integration with our complex existing system.

Our conclusion is that the supplier of our existing system, MTS Systems, can only fulfill the requirements for the solution. They are the only supplier that can insure a fully compatible solution, which does not increase the complexity of our existing system (training, maintenance, new software etc.).

II.2.13) Information about European Union funds
