Motivation for cancelling.

LFV has decided to cancel the procurement procedure.

The decision is the result of and follows immediately after LFV´s initial review which means that no negotiations have taken place in this procurement procedure.

The decision to cancel the procurement is based on the following grounds:

— lack of competition: After LFV's examination of the submitted tenders, it appears that only one tender meets all SHALL requirements,

— budget reasons: With reference to item 1.7 Cancellation of procurement, LFV will suspend the procurement for budgetary reasons. The qualifying tender is too high priced for LFV's budget and LFV makes the assessment that it would not be likely that the negotiated price would meet LFV’s budget.

Due to the fact that LFV intends to announce a new procurement procedure, any and all submitted tenders, applications and correspondence between LFV and tenderers and potential tenderers as well as decisions made by LFV within the context of the procurement will without exception be subject to commercial secrecy until such time a contract has been awarded or the new procurement procedure has otherwise been concluded.
