II.1.4) Short description:

Modernisation and modification of vessel KBV181 will include, amongst other items, the following work:

— modification of stern deck. Enlarge and simplify layout, as well as adding stern ramp,

— renewing 2 deck-cranes and adding a third,

— adding 2 cargo tanks in aft ship,

— update and install oil recovery equipment,

— update hydraulic system,

— flush mounting of aft deck hatch,

— modernization and modification of bridge equipment and layout,

— renewal of both generator sets, whereof one will be relocated,

— major overhaul and update of both main engines,

— take vessel into Class-regime (as class renewal),

— modernize and renew equipment in galley,

— install wet and dry laboratory as per Umeå University specification,

— update mooring equipment,

— renovation and modification in accommodation,

— hull coating with Ice breaker paint.

The procurement is planned to be published in January 2019. The vessel will be available for work from June 2019 until Feb 2020.

The work will be done at the contractors premises. The cost for the Swedish Coast Guard to move the vessel to and from the contractors premises will be calculated in the evaluation.
