II.2.4) Description of the procurement:

Danish Defense Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) plans to tender a contract regarding procurement of pneumatic line throwers (PLT), large (230 meters range) and small (range more than 100 meters). PLTs are used for throwing/shooting a line ashore when ships moor at the dock or when 2 ships at sea need to throw/shoot at line between them.

This RFI is not a tender. This RFI is supposed to gain information about the market/possible tenderers in order to construct the best possible tender later on.

Background

DALO plans to purchase pneumatic line throwers, hereafter named PLT(s). The PLT will primarily be used by the Royal Danish Navy.

The scope is expected to be no less than 62 pcs of complete sets of PLTs that shoots more than 230 m (SOLAS certified) and no less than 32 pcs of complete sets of PLTs that shoots more than 100 m.
